In this role you will add value to PXP by:
You will act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, helping to translate business requirements into technical specifications. You will be key in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, meet business objectives, and align with technical standards.
A typical week as a Technical Author might involve:
- Feature Analysis: Assist the Product Management team with high-level feature analysis and break down complex requirements into smaller, actionable tasks for the development team.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Analyze requested features in detail by gathering input from all relevant stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Business Understanding: Act as the domain expert for business requests, answering questions from the development team quickly and decisively.
- Requirement Documentation: Document requirements in the form of User Stories, ensuring that they are clear, concise, and understandable.
- Living Documentation: Maintain a 'Living Documentation' repository to ensure up-to-date records of requirements and changes.Agile Scrum Support: Actively contribute as a member of the Scrum team, participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups.
- Project Coordination: Help maintain project plans, track progress, and ensure requirements are prioritized and completed on time.
- Certifications Coordination: Coordinate certification efforts with the cert team and third-party vendors, ensuring that all necessary certifications are achieved.
- Testing/Development Support: Use secondary skills in testing or software development to support the Scrum team in delivering high-quality features and addressing any technical challenges.
We are looking for someone who:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience:
- 3+ years in a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst role, preferably within Agile environments.
- Proven experience in breaking down complex requirements into manageable tasks for development teams.
- Experience with Specification by Example and writing clear acceptance criteria.
- Familiarity with Scrum and Agile methodologies.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of project management and collaboration tools.
- Secondary skills in testing, quality assurance, or software development are a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and manage multiple priorities.
