In this role you will add value to PXP by:                                             

As the Product Owner for our core platform, you will work on extending some of the most central parts of our system. This includes elements around pricing, settlement, invoicing, reporting, tokenization , authentication - a wide array of different core capabilities that underpin PXPs entire product offering. The role also involves extensions of some of our central customer-facing tools, especially our Unity Admin portal. The role offers a good mix between managing and extending existing functionality as well as introducing entirely new features and products that enhanced our wider portfolio. 

A typical week as a Product Owner might involve:              

  • Manage and extend our central core components with new functionality. This includes our reporting capabilities, enhancements to pricing and invoicing, etc
  • Work on new features and products like risk mitigation, dispute management and prevention and many others 
  • Drive efforts to enhance user experience across frontend technologies, ensuring seamless interactions.
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers and development teams to address technical challenges and improve user flows.
  • Engage with clients and internal teams to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, creating actionable user stories to guide development efforts.
  • Participate in testing processes to ensure the quality and usability of new features before their launch.
  • Analyze user feedback and data to identify areas for improvement and inform future product enhancements

 We are looking for someone who:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role, with a focus on wider financial services, ideally experience with payment processing or card processing.
  • A good understanding of customer needs around pricing, invoicing, financial processes in general.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable tasks.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to inform product decisions and improve user flows.

 We would love someone to have any of the following:

  • Experience with basic accounting, pricing engines, pricing models, etc.
  • Familiarity with API integration for client-side applications and an understanding of how to optimize user experience without requiring extensive client coding.
  • Proficiency in user experience design principles, particularly for e-commerce or transactional user flows.
  • Skills in testing and optimizing client-side performance to ensure reliable, responsive interfaces.
