We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to take ownership of our enterprise network across multiple data centres. This is a hands-on, design-led role, ideal for someone who enjoys simplifying complex networks, improving resilience, and shaping future multi-site connectivity.

In this role you will add value to PXP by:

Working closely with analysts, developers, and architects from various teams to brainstorm and implement creative solutions to challenging issues. We value intellectual curiosity, a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills. Experience with Azure DevOps is preferred, along with a proven ability to adapt to evolving technical landscapes.

A typical week as a DevOps Engineer might involve:

  • Build, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery.    
  • Configure and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerised applications, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring.    
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline and automate build, test, and deployment processes.    
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices    
  • Monitor and optimize CI/CD pipeline performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.    
  • Work with Information Security to integrate security practices into the CI/CD pipeline, including code scanning, vulnerability assessment, and compliance checks.    
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and Azure infrastructure.    
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams on CI/CD best practices, Azure DevOps tools, and Kubernetes.    
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in DevOps, Azure, and Kubernetes.    

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on Azure DevOps and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working with both on-premises and cloud environments utilising technologies such as technologies such as VMWare, Kafka, Nutanix HCI, Linux, Azure DevOps, and Kubernetes.     
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and best practices, including automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.    
  • Proficient in managing containerised environments with sidecars and deploying clusters using tools like Kubespray.    
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and management of clusters.    
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, or Azure DevOps IaC pipelines.    
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.    
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.    

We would love someone to have any of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.    
  • Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator or Azure DevOps Engineer.
