Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm.

Office Location: Sofia, Bulgaria.

In this role you will add value to PXP by:

 Monitoring and providing advisory activities to help PXP meet our regulatory and legislative obligations.

Supporting a regulatory/ compliance-enabling culture to deliver great business outcomes.

A typical week as a Compliance Associate might involve:

  • Assist in the execution of the testing and monitoring in line with the Compliance Monitoring Plan (CMP), including periodic tests on the effectiveness of policies and controls to ensure they are properly designed, in place, and operating as expected. 
  • Assist the Compliance Manager in all compliance-related matters, including implementing regulatory change throughout the business.
  • Keep up to date with relevant regulatory changes from the FCA (UK).
  • Stay informed of regulatory developments and how they would impact on the business; maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current issues and future trends and their likely impact on the company's risk profile and activities.
  • Develop relationships with all relevant internal and external parties, to ensure a compliance culture of continuous improvement.
  • Carry out other duties and projects as and when required in line with team objectives.

We are looking for someone who possesses:

  • Recent and relevant compliance or risk-based experience in the payments industry.
  • The ability to understand applicable regulatory regimes.
  • A high-level understanding of how financial products and services are regulated in the UK and EU.
  • An inquisitive mind and are curious about how the payment business operates.
  • Ability to communicate complex information, both written and verbal, in a clear way.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good relationships and can influence and challenge decisions.
  • A methodical, structured, and rigorous approach to delivery.
  • Integrity and a high sense of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Team player attitude with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Critical thinking skills.

We would love someone to have any of the following:

ICA / ACAMS qualifications in Anti Money Laundering and/ or Financial Crime Prevention
