Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer.

In this role you will add value to PXP by:

Leading the Commercials area of the business which the Account Development, Business Development, Commercial Support and Provider Management activities of PXP Financial, for all products and channels (gateway, acquiring and e-wallet solutions and services).

The CRO is responsible for the Commercial function in PXP Financial and as a member of the Senior Management team, assists in the development of organization policies and goals that cover people management, financial performance, and growth.

A typical week as a Chief Revenue Officer might involve: 

  • Directing the Account & Business Development Departments to achieve budgeted results and other financial criteria, and drive earnings (Net Revenue) growth and value of the business.
  • Actively driving the overall Commercial strategy & activities across all regions and channels for all products (gateway, acquiring and e-wallet solutions) and services.
  • Actively driving the sales strategy & efforts to prospects and customers in appropriate sectors (e.g. gaming, retail, travel, leisure and hospitality, financial services) through direct sales activities and via reseller partners.
  • Working to enhance the overall PXP Financial strategy and go-to-market plan to identify, prioritise, develop and decide on new sectors, channels and clients for the named solutions and services; while also account managing, upselling, brand new business and retaining existing customers.
  • Optimising the customer’s take-up and overall satisfaction with PXP Financial and its solutions & services, while at the same time maximising our earnings return and hitting revenue targets.
  • Collaborating with other senior sales professionals in the acceptance and issuing team, to identify and drive enterprise sales in complex and sophisticated organisations.
  • Partnering with the Product Group to identify and develop our product range and introduce new products based on customer and competitor insights and / or needs.
  • Assisting the CEO to develop best-in-class sales approaches, processes, and meetings - via the optimal use of appropriate CRM systems and sales measurement mechanics. Reinforcing their use within the team.
  • Structuring, building and recruiting a world-class and high performing sale, account, business development and marketing team. Provide strong on-going leadership, role modelling and management support to the team.
  • Ensuring that the HR, Finance and the rest of the Commercial Team build appropriate compensation schemes to develop and reinforce the right sales behaviour and motivation.
  • Actively contributing and developing close, day-to-day, collaborative working relationships with other PXP Financial teams outside of the commercial function, especially strategy, product, customer service and finance teams.  Taking and giving input and direction as needed.
  • Performing the normal proficiency at budgeting, measurement and reporting you would expect with a senior role.

We are looking for someone who: 

  • Is an expert in Sales with extensive work experience in the payment industry.
  • Has a proven track record of a successful sales history at a senior Level and in-depth knowledge in retail payments.
  • Is highly connected within the payments sector; a person who can generate leads and has extensive commercial awareness of the payments industry.
  • Has a proven track record of working to, implementing and ensuring the adoption of best-in-class CRM and sales approaches.
  • Has a proven track record of excelling in a complex and fast-moving business and environment – managing stakeholders and shareholders effectively and across locations.
  • Possesses strong commercial skills and pragmatic approach to business.
  • Has a clear understanding of what is needed to develop a truly high-performance sales, account management, business development and commercial support team and a proven track record of setting up high performing teams.
  • Is able to attract and retain the best talent and get the best from them.
  • Is highly organized, inspiring, and self-motivated personality, clearly communicates the company vision and mission to the business unit and drives the business unit forward.
  • Has mature client handling skills, able to deal confidently with complex commercial situations at board level.
  • Is entrepreneurial, self-starter, strong credibility and influencing skills.
  • Is proactive and achievement driven with a passion for value creation and for the pursuit of excellence.
